Job Description:

Sherpa 6, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software AI/ML Engineer. If you are a high energy research scientist/software developer sought. Experienced in AI (artificial intelligence), ML (machine learning), pattern recognition, big data, and algorithm development; then this position is for you. Be part of a team that uses Agile methodologies to design/develop/deliver/maintain products. As part of the Agile Team, you will use modern tools to build, train, and deploy ML models to identify activity, create events, generate predictions, and make recommendations. Candidate should be focused on innovative approaches to enhance the efficiency of getting products to the end-users using machine learning. You will collaborate with Government, Industry and Academic Partners to accomplish project goals. This role requires a motivated, self-driven technical leader with strong communication skills. As demand increases, you are expected to lead Sherpa 6 in AI/ML solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Be the AI expert and act as an evangelist to build awareness and understanding of the technology internally and externally
• Define what a good quality algorithm should look like in collaboration with engineering
• Cooperate, Communicate and Collaborate with other Project Partners (Sherpas, Government, Academia, Industry)
• Provide Project Documentation (e.g. Schedules/ICDs/Reports) as needed
• Supervise/Mentor other team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with software or systems engineering in a professional work environment or similar
• Proficient in core software programming skills such as Java or C++
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships and expectations
• Experience with protocols and data standards
• Understands TCP/IP and UDP/Multicast networking
• Experience in MS Office Tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio)
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Software / Hardware Architecture Development
• Familiar with Agile Development Methodologies
• Must be a US citizen
• Must pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Experience:

• Current Golang, Angular, or Java Experience
• Currently working on a Scrum Team or Scrum Certification
• Big Data Experience
• Cloud architecting experience for micro services (Azure, AWS)
• Network Programming, with experience traffic shaping, throttling, QoS, and reliability
• Experience with Android Smartphones
• Experience with Robotics, Electronics and Sensors
• Experience with Wireless Communications

Pay: $120,000.00 – $190,000.00 per year
