Shenandoah Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Hiring for Scribe at Fishersville, VA Full Time

We are currently seeking Medical Scribes to join our *extremely busy* orthopedic office in Fishersville and/or Harrisonburg, Virginia for our scribe program. This is a part-time position, and somewhat flexible hours. Previous scribing experience helpful as well as knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities:

• To improve the efficiency of the provider by accompanying him/her into the patient room in order to document all necessary components of the office visit
• Enter information into the patient’s electronic medical record under the supervision of the provider prior to review and signature
• Ensure that charts are accurate and thoroughly documented according to office policy
• Enter orders into the chart according to provider direction
• No physical patient contact required, this is a non-licensed position
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned dependent upon office need

Qualifications:

• Prefer 1 year of scribing experience
• Prefer 1 year of electronic medical record systems experience
• Medical terminology, orthopedic preferred
• Attention to detail
• Positive attitude
• Familiarity with HIPPA
