What’s the role –
The Digital + Business Transformation Team is looking for a Predictive Analytics Engineer who will accelerate delivery on Scotford’s predictive analytics roadmap enabling Scotford’s 2025 ambitions and 2030 Vision. The Predictive Analytics Engineer will build, deploy, monitor, and replicate C3.ai analytics models for static and rotating equipment that will enable transformation of our ways of working from preventative + corrective maintenance to condition-based and predictive maintenance. This role interfaces primarily with Scotford based stakeholders. Applicants in the Scotford area preferred.
Accountabilities:
The Predictive Analytics Engineer will:
Act both as a Product Owner + Data Subject Matter Expert (SME) as part of analytics model delivery on rotating equipment
Work closely with the Digital COE (Center of Expertise), providing the voice of the customer as models are iteratively deployed to Scotford equipment. For example: analyze normal operating conditions of the equipment and translate this into the design premise for the models being deployed.
Work closely with departments to transform our ways of working ensuring the maximum value and sustainability of analytics models. This includes integrating the models and new ways of working into our Proactive Technical Monitoring (PTM) process as part of the Ensure Safe Production (ESP) work process AND Reliability Centered Maintenance as part of the Manage Equipment Care (MEC) work process.
Deliver predictive and prescriptive solutions beyond the realm of maintenance as the strategy matures and evolves.

Skills and Requirements
What we need from you –
A legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Mechanical Engineering degree (preferred) or other related technical degree
Strong data analytics experience in the development or evaluation of advanced analytics and machine learning models
Minimum 5 yrs of experience (Rotating Engineering) preferred in a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical skills and experience monitoring time series data/ equipment in PI
Possess a keen interest and passion for data, data analysis and identification of and delivery on business drivers
Knowledge with analytics techniques such as machine learning, text mining, natural language processing, decision trees
