You will be responsible for safe and efficient gas processing, through control of compressor facilities and various plant and equipment. This role will provide frontline plant surveillance and defect recognition, maintaining a strong focus on ensuring production optimisation.

What’s the role?
You will be entrusted with the following:
Monitor baseline maintenance of compressor stations to ensure the high availability of the compressor sets and plant, as well as effective metering and pressure regulation;
Complete area surveillance and rectify (to level of competence) and/or safety, environmental, maintenance and production issues, ensuring that all identified defects are appropriately documented in the relevant registers and databases;
Participate in condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring compliance to manufacturer’s guidelines, and careful observation of maintenance agreements and warranties;
Maintain operational support for emergency response equipment as required;
Act as Area Owner for assigned Gas Plant Facilities to ensure all activities are completed in compliance with QGC’s Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) procedures;
Undertake designated Operator tasks such as conducting equipment isolations, purging, and leak testing.
What we need from you
We are keen to speak to professionals with the following:
Cert III in process plant operations; Holds a permit Authority Certificate
Significant experience in operating a continuous process plant, Instrumentation controls experience
High level field gas operations experience, high pressure gas experience
Trained and verified as competent to operate plant and equipment
Experience in basic workplace ing procedures
Training relating to working in confined spaces
Understanding of QGC and industry standards, understanding of HSSE principals, understanding of their role in asset processes and procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills
Ability to work well as part of a team, demonstrated ability to safely complete discrete tasks when working without supervision
Ability to take appropriate initiative to deal with problems and complete tasks
Competent computing skills – Microsoft Office
Fully knowledgeable of Facilities Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance to Pipeline Licence and regulatory conditions
Conversant with Pipeline Standards AS2885
