This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounting/Bookkeeper to join our team and help maintain internal systems to support our fast-paced and high-growth business. This role is a mix of administrative work and accounting work.

You will be a part of our accounting team. You will work closely with the Controller and leadership team to assist them with day-to-day tasks.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a busy work environment while being highly detail oriented. We are looking for someone who has worked in a professional office environment before; who is highly efficient and understands the importance of putting the customer first.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accounts receivable functions by monitoring all term accounts, invoicing and making appropriate collection efforts
• Maintain accounts payable functions by recording all invoices and update and maintaining all vendor information within internal accounting software
• Answer incoming accounting calls and assume other receptionist duties when needed
• Build rapport with vendors, AP and AR contacts
• File freight and parcel claims with cargo insurance carrier and initiate all chargeback case
• Make all bank related general journal entries and assist with month-end account reconciliation
• Maintenance of company filing system and purging as necessary while keeping most recent 7 years of records on file
• Ensure the confidentiality of company information and data
• Perform general bookkeeping including vendor invoices and making general journal entries with a high degree of accuracy
• Assist leadership team with data-entry, record keeping, and executive assistant functions
• Handle several tasks at once, while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Perform various administrative tasks including scheduling and booking travel, ordering office supplies, running company errands, and other miscellaneous executive assistant tasks

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must be detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Excel
• Must be trustworthy and able to keep confidential information contained
• Must have a strong sense of self-awareness of own strengths and weaknesses
• Must be able to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and tasks

Required: Bookkeeping and AP/AR experience

Preferred: Accounting Degree
