We are expanding our Information, Advice and Guidance services for young people in London with our ‘Spark Change’ programme, funded by Greater London Authority (GLA) and European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF).
As Cognitive Behavioural Mentor you will provide mentoring to a caseload of young people aged 15-24 accessing our services to help them to change the way they think about themselves and their future to help them to make positive steps forward. Delivering up to 6 sessions with each young person, you will help to challenge young people’s perception of themselves working collaboratively to identify any barriers to reaching their full potential.

Essential:
You will have:
A diploma in cognitive mentoring or equivalent
Experience of successfully applying cognitive behavioural approaches with young people
Experience of developing effective relationships with a range of stakeholders including young people, employers, and colleagues
Experience, understanding and empathy with the lives of young people

Occasionally you may be required to work during the evening or on a Saturday, for example if a young person’s event is taking place during an evening or on a Saturday. In this instance you will be able to take time back in lieu of hours worked.
Location:
Hybrid working with a mix of office, home and community working. Our service will cover the London Boroughs of Bexley, Brent, Hackney, Harrow and Havering.
Salary: starting at £27,322.00
Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
