The Organisation
My client is one of Melbourne’s largest transport organisations who boasts a well-recognised and established brand, is a market leader and is undergoing a period of growth and expansion to deliver improved offering to the market

The Role
Reporting directly into the Financial Controller his role will see you assume ownership of key accounting requirements for corporate functions and business partnering support for key corporate functions, manage balance sheet reconciliations and be accountable for all reporting requirements for supported functions.

• Key business partner to numerous support functions and Insurance teams (Human Resources, Health Safety and Environment, Payroll, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Workers Compensation)
• Key team member in providing accurate and timely forecasts, budgets, variance analysis and ongoing operational analysis as required by the Finance Manager – Corporate and FP&A team.
• Timely and accurate completion of month end reporting for Corporate functions including annual reporting requirements.
• Ability to have robust discussion with external auditors to ensure any matters raised are resolved efficiently.
• Develop guidelines and templates for best practice processes as appropriate.

The Candidate
You are high energy and commercially focused individual who is committed to making a difference and driving improved outcomes for the organisation you work for. Ideally applicants will have a proven background in Finance within Financial Accountant or Management Accounting roles which had a strong business partnering requirement. With intermediate to advanced excel skills, your interpersonal and communication skills are first class, allowing you to gain the confidence of and develop strong professional relationships with those both above and below you in the organisational structure. You are CA or CPA qualified
