Position description
An open opportunity for a recent and diligent graduate in Finance/Accounting to join a supportive and dynamic team located in North Sydney. The role requires the successful candidate to utilise prior experience from their studies or experiences, whilst forming strong working relationships and having a system savvy mindset. This position is seeking a candidate who can start as soon as possible.

The role supports the company Finance Manager in all facets of the Finance Division. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• The Assistant Accountant is responsible for efficient Accounts Receivable, Project Finance Management, assistance in the management of the external accounts resourcing duties, ensuring timely and accurate management and ensuring job reports are prepared.
• Review and upload job budgets for each project in each division
• Review, reconcile and manage monthly divisional charges and enter into accounting system.
• Prepare and manage client invoices
• Manage debtor balances and overdue accounts
• Liaise with PM’s and/or division heads for commentary on the job reviews
• Assisting with statutory accounting including tax returns, BAS, Payroll Tax and FBT
• Assisting cash flow management and forecasting
• Month end journals and reconciliations (Depreciation/Prepayments/Insurance/Accruals etc)
• EOFY assistance to Finance Manager as required
• Assisting with end to end Accounts Payable
• Assisting with end to end Accounts Receivable

The successful applicant should have:

• Recent Graduate in Accounting/Finance from a well-known University.
• Excellent communication skills, positive energy and determined mindset.
• Ability to follow directions and ask questions.
• Keen interest in the Accounting/Finance field.
