This is a fully remote contract role for 6 months and it is likely to extend further. The role is for a top Cloud Talent Solutions & Services company specializing in AWS Cloud & Data in the US. You must be based in the country where this is advertised or you must be based in Europe or any English Native country. Due to data protection regulations, remote working from outside the Europe regions is not acceptable.

Job Details:

Working alongside the Automation QA, the Manual Tester will be focusing on applying a structured approach to testing key user journeys on Spinnup that cannot be tested through automation tests whilst conducting exploratory testing to stop new bugs from becoming production issues.

The Manual Tester will develop a deep understanding of Spinnup as a product, our systems and our 3rd party dependencies. Putting themselves in the mindset of our users and making recommendations as part of an agile product development team (Scrum) on how we can improve the product and deliver new features.

The Manual Tester will be pivotal in the testing of software produced by the project delivery team, ensuring quality standards are met for any changes deployed. They will be testing across the web and mobile environments and be happy interacting with members across our whole development team.

The Manual Tester will be the advocate for QA best practices. They will ensure that the Spinnup software deliveries, either internally or externally by a third party, comply with the requirements and the expected quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• ·Testing existing and new features

• Providing feedback on product requirements

o Ensuring product requirements are met

• Develop a deep understanding of Spinnup and our 3rd party dependencies
• Able to run and manage appropriate tests to ensure that requirements have been fully met.
• Understand and able to identify the most effective techniques, data sets, and tools to use.
• Able to communicate defects or trends clearly to the development team, outlining how defects are identified, and their possible causes and help prioritize them based on defect severity.
• Able to design and execute a wide range of testing techniques
• Aware of non-functional testing techniques
• Able to execute non-functional test scenarios and raise defects
• Can run non-functional tests others have written and knows the processes to do so.
• Able to advise others on testing techniques and frameworks.
