Working as a Graduate LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) Administrator you will be required to learn about the system and help drive process efficiencies. Key tasks of the role will include the following. :

• To assist in coordinating the development and implementation of standard LIMS reporting systems
• Co-ordinate LIMS issues, including new functionality, improvements and system updates
• Regular review and reporting of KPIs
• Assist in translating the operational job workflows in such a manner that is acceptable to the LIMS system
• Providing LIMS support for Energy Minerals laboratories
• Undertake hardware and system set-up support for Mackay and the surrounding region
• Lead additional improvement projects across the business as applicable
• Undertake regular LIMS administration and maintenance tasks for Energy Minerals laboratories.

As a recent graduate, you will have a background, or in Information Technology or have completed your studies and will be someone who possesses a positive and energetic attitude, but most of all a willingness to expand your knowledge and experience with our Energy Minerals business. You will also be:

• Minimum education level – Diploma in Science or relevant discipline or relevant experience in the Coal Industry
• Experience in supporting IT hardware and software (particularly Excel & VBA)
• Experience working with information management systems or laboratory Information management systems
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a coal laboratory and/or coal preparation (desirable)
• Understanding of coal quality from pit to port (desirable)
• Hungry for knowledge and have a strong interest in learning and developing
• Have the ability to prioritise and manage multiple concurrent tasks in a dynamic environment
• Possess robust problem-solving skills
• A resourceful team player who builds lasting relationships with all key stakeholders
• A driven individual, who displays initiative and is a self-starter
• Proficient with computer systems and software packages
• Innovative and able to contribute to creative solutions for the betterment of the team and the client
