SF Group Hiring for HR Advisor at Nottingham Full Time

SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a fantastic organisation based in Nottingham on a full time permanent basis. This role has flexible working hours but as it is a integral part of the HR Team will be mainly office based. This is a great role for someone to make the next step in their HR career.

Main responsibilities will include:

• To act as a champion for equality, diversity and inclusion, challenging poor or inappropriate practice in all areas. This is not restricted to HR services.
• To work closely with the Director of People Services, to develop/review and implement HR policy in line with changing demands.
• To provide an advisory service to employees ensuring that they are fully aware of their rights and entitlements.
• To work alongside the Director of People Services with specific projects to support and/or lead the delivery of actions contained within the people strategy plan.
• To provide generalist HR advice to managers on operational HR matters, e.g. discipline, grievance, performance management, sickness absence management, interpretation and implementation of HR all policies.
• To line manage the HR Administrator to ensure they provide effective administrative support. To provide guidance and support to ensure a varied workload is completed on time.
• To partner with managers and trustees to guide them through policy processes to include: advice on the correct process to follow; preparation of documentation; coordinating the timeline and meetings to keeping all parties on-track and organise external legal advice if required.
• To ensure that all relevant legal implications, HR policies and procedures and best practice are taken into account in the decision-making process.
• To encourage and support managers in building an inclusive and supportive people culture.
• To manage the recruitment and selection process
• To oversee staff onboarding to ensure appropriate induction programmes and subsequent mandatory training in conjunction with managers.
• To be the procedural support and note-taker in hearings convened in accordance with HR policies and procedures, e.g. disciplinary, grievance, sickness, performance, appeal hearings and

to ensure that the hearings are conducted in accordance with employment law.

• To provide professional advice, guidance and support to managers dealing with organisational change management including participating in negotiation/consultation meetings with staff

representatives, where appropriate.
