SF Recruitment are currently working with a service business based in Birmingham city centre in the recruitment of an Assistant Financial Accountant.

This is a 12 month maternity cover starting as soon as possible. Candidates will ideally be immediately available or available on a 1 weeks notice to allow time for a robust handover.

Reporting into the Financial Controller the role will include but is not limited to the following duties; maintenance of the Fixed Asset register, accruals, prepayments, journals, ONS and ensuring the integrity of all of the nominal accounts and ledger.

This role is suited to a candidate will good communication skills who is able to challenge and also advocate best practice and efficiencies.

It is essential that applicants have strong Excel skills and this is including practical and working knowledge of vlook ups and pivot tables.
