Role

My client is currently recruiting for a Senior Credit Controller to join their lively Finance Team

The ideal candidate will be someone with a passion for credit control and who displays a high level of attention to detail. An ability to communicate effectively at all levels is key, as is the capability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the aged debt portfolio across the whole business.
• Having a very hands-on approach to get to know our customers and clients well.
• Actively chase outstanding debt by contacting the clients and the business directly via telephone and email.
• Lead in debt call meetings.
• Ability to investigate the sales ledger and ensure effective clear down.
• Keeping diarised details per customer of debt chasing, to ensure prompt and efficient payments are received.
• Ability to clearly and effectively to Board of Director the debt status.
• Can demonstrate effective escalation of unresolved debt.
• Gaining an understanding of different billing models and VAT implications.
• Raising manual and ad hoc invoices and Credit Notes.
• Upload invoices to the Sales Ledger.
• Ensuring compliance and maintenance of the Credit control policy.

Personal Profile

• Proven credit control experience
• Good Customer Service skills
• Effective communicator at all levels (internal & external customers)
• Intermediate excel skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
• Effective time management in meeting deadlines.
• Proactive individual and part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable to take on a variety of tasks.
• Ideally experience in using multiple systems
