We have an exciting 6 month opportunity available to join our team in Coventry as a Tariffs and Investment Analyst.

This is a key role to support the development of the new connections charging framework for developer customers. Working closely with the Tariffs and Investment Lead to design and maintain charges which support the Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy Developer Services ambition of leading the market through being easiest to deal with and value for money. You’ll oversee the management of Developer Services capital blocks from funding through to assessing monthly performance against budget.

This role would suit someone with a Finance/Accounting background who is comfortable interpreting and presenting data who has good attention to detail and is also confident working with SAP and Excel. We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated and has excellent stakeholder management skills and who is used to working under pressure and delivering to deadlines.

Your key accountabilities in helping us on our journey will be:

Design and develop the set of new connections charges in compliance with the Ofwat rules and review charges annually.

Work closely with operational business leaders for each of our customer segments to ensure our charges support our ambition of being the easiest to deal with for each of our customer groups. Monitor regulatory developments and feedback to develop the Severn Trent New Connections charges where required.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within both Developer Services and across the business to ensure teams who are upstream or downstream dependencies are working collaboratively.

Support the annual assurance of our charges through to publication in partnership with the central company Compliance team.

It would be great if you have experience of working within a financial/economic or regulatory role and be comfortable with reading and interpreting regulatory documentation.
