Accounting Specialist

Salary

$20 – $22 an hour (Pending Experience)

Monday-Friday 8:30am-2:30pm

We are a Chattanooga, TN based, 30+ year old company providing multiple maintenance services for our customer’s facilities and equipment. We have been experiencing and will continue to experience rapid growth across all our service divisions.

We have field operations in 20 states, multiple cities. This position would be based in our home office, located in the Chattanooga East Brainerd area.

Job Description

The Accounting Specialist will work closely with the Accounting Manager, President, and other internal departments to ensure all accounting processes are followed and completed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to be successful.

Requirements for the job include being hands on and detail oriented to ensure the accuracy of all accounting processes.

The person in this position must have an understanding of general accounting, chart of accounts and cost center structure, account reconciliation and resolution. Multiple/various accounting responsibilities will be part of this position.

The successful candidate must have the ability to learn new things quickly and adapt as necessary.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience in QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Office (preferred not required)

• Detail oriented

• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to policies and procedures.

• Reliability, flexibility, professional etiquette and sound judgment are important

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, not required
