Job Description Summary
We are currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Telecommunications team located in the any of the national offices.
About the Role
Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Telco Finance team. Reporting directly to the BU Finance Manager, Mobile, you will be responsible for the financial management of our Telstra Mobile and Gigacomm contracts, including governance of projects and financial milestones, producing all financial and management reporting, and delivering contract forecasts and budgets. Offered on a permanent, Full Time basis, this position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

Reporting Line: BU Finance Manager, Mobile
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering contract financial reporting and performance insight to drive sound commercial decision making and improve business performance.
- Delivering forecasts, budgets and long-term planning for the contract ensuring predictability and clarity of contract profitability and future cash flows.
- Managing all financial processes to ensure transactions are accurately recorded, books are closed on time, and all balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and complete.
- Maintaining a robust financial control environment such that projects are budgeted/forecast accurately and that expenditures are within approved authorities.
- Maintaining, improving and assisting with the development of Power BI reports to deliver insight across all financial areas.
- Ensuring projects are set up and maintained accurately in the organisation’s ERP system (IFS)
- Ensuring timely completion of all necessary milestones to drive accurate progress reporting, on time invoicing and subsequent payment by the client.
- Actively driving weekly/monthly operational/governance meetings to help the business identify and action all milestones, overdue invoicing and resolve any barriers to cash collection.
- Ensuring financial and operational risks within the contract are identified and plans are developed to overcome these.
- Coaching and mentoring operational teams in good financial disciplines, including accurate forecasting and ongoing cost and invoicing management.
About you:
- Proven professional accounting experience, ideally in project finance or management accounting
- Experience with project accounting concepts and project management systems
- Experience of working as a Finance business partner to non-Finance teams
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills to drive outcomes required from operational teams
- Strong drive to improve Finance services through the adoption analytics and new technologies
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI preferable
