Job Description Summary

Account for and undertake the administration and execution of various accounting tasks within the general accounting function of the telecommunications division to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
About the Role

Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our growing company. In this key role, you will be responsible supporting the delivery of portfolio financial targets and co-ordination of reporting to enable this.

Nature of position: Maximum-Term, Full-Time
Location: Sydney North
Reporting Line: Finance Manager – Fixed Networks

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a culture of optimising business performance at all levels, from contract to Service Stream Corporation.

• Support and Sustain a high performing finance function, whilst also educating non-finance colleagues

• Ensure efficient and accurate reporting of the business wide profit / resilience plan initiative, as well as other monthly deliverables.

• Preparation of financial transactions and/or management reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results.

• Partnering with the business to maintain and increase effectiveness in the application of financial concepts, use of business systems and execution of project controls.

• Support framework of project profit / resilience plans.

• Ensure governance in finance people, systems and processes within the region.

• Manage ad hoc analytical and commercial projects in conjunction with either business operations, senior management, or Finance / Group teams.

• Consideration of financial, strategic and commercial implications within projects, optimising outcomes for business .

About You
This opportunity will suit a highly proactive and self-driven individual who has the skills to tell a story in the numbers. Further to this, you will have excellent communication skills and be capable of negotiating and influencing outcomes.

You will also demonstrate and possess the following:

• Experience in an accounting role, and/or sound commercial acumen and understanding of general and transactional accounting, cost accounting and reporting.

• Excellent management reporting skill set

• CA / CPA qualified

• Experience in managing activities of a higher complexity, including delivery of proposed solutions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Advanced skills in MS Office software (particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint)

• Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Business or Economics

• Experience with Power BI highly desirable

• Experience with TM1 desirable but not essential

• Some experience in infrastructure maintenance is desirable
