Service Specialists Hiring for Accounting Manager, Payables Job at Ridgeland, MS Full Time

We are searching for an Accounts Payable Manager who will oversee the accounts payable function to ensure accurate and timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers while maintaining records and controls. The ideal candidate will be organized, highly motivated, and a awesome leader of staff.
Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts payable function to ensure accurate and timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers while maintaining records and controls
• Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies applicable to the accounts payable function to ensure efficient company operations and working capital management
• Respond to vendor or employee inquiries to resolve payment processing issues, discrepancies, or any other related transactions in a timely manner
• Complete month end close process including recording of transactions in the general ledger, reconciling subledger accounts, and resolving exceptions.
• Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.

• Support and manage staff by mentoring and training as well as monitoring deadlines and work loads of staff.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Accounting or closely related equivalent required.
• Minimum four years progressive experience preferably working with general ledger and automated accounts payable processes in large ERP system environment
• Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills are required.

PREFERRED

• SQL experience preferred
• Experience with Oracle Payable processes preferred
• CPA, CPA eligible, MBA, or MPA preferred.
