Clinical Supervisor

ing to the Director, the Clinical Supervisor will maintain an active caseload of consumers served and supervise other clinicians. This includes completing and overseeing assessments, therapy sessions, group sessions, family therapy sessions, and treatment planning. This position will work collaboratively with other treatment team members across a variety of disciplines internally and externally to ensure the most effective treatment plan for the consumer. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supervision of all clinicians, which includes a combination of individual and group supervisions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the direction, provision, and quality of counseling services.
• Works closely with the Quality and Compliance team to develop and implement the Quality Plan, and organizational policy and procedure.
• Ensures that the behavioral and pharmacologic approaches to treatment are evidence based or based on objective information to provide treatment services consistent with recognized treatment principles and practices for each level of care type of consumer served by the program.
• Provides, ensures, and documents direct clinical supervision at least one hour per week to all clinical staff, individually or in a group setting, with group supervision not to exceed 50% of the supervision time.
• Ensures that counseling services are provided as specified in the consumer treatment plan, and coordinated with other consumer care services, if applicable, in order to provide continuity of care.
• Ensures that the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of consumers with co-occurring disorders is provided by appropriately trained and qualified clinical staff, and that the clinical supervision of such staff is provided.
• Assists in developing and maintaining written job descriptions for counseling personnel and assigning duties, as appropriate.
• Assesses and participates in staff education activities and provides consultation to program personnel.
• Provides orientation to and evaluation of new counseling staff prior to the assignment of counseling responsibilities.
• Ensures that all counseling staff are properly licensed or credentialed in accordance with

regulations.

• Works collaboratively with the Quality and Compliance team to identify and track quality care indicators.
• Collaborate with the Director and leadership team for audit and licensing preparations. Participate in the Chart Review Committee to oversee the compliance of clinical records.

Required Licenses or Experience

• A New Jersey licensed psychologist who possesses a Certification of Proficiency in the Treatment of Alcohol and other Psychoactive Substance Use Disorders from the American Psychological Association, College or Professional Psychology, or is an LCADC; Or a New Jersey licensed clinical social worker, who is a certified clinical supervisor by The Certification Board, or is an LCADC; Or a New Jersey licensed professional counselor, or licensed marriage and family therapist, who is a certified clinical supervisor by The Certification Board, or who is an LCADC; Or a New Jersey licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor who, in addition, holds a Master’s degree recognized by the New Jersey Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners, Alcohol and Drug Counselor Committee, Division of Consumer Affairs, New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety; Or a New Jersey licensed physician, certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine, or a Board-certified psychiatrist; Or a New Jersey licensed advanced practice nurse who is a certified clinical supervisor by the Certification Board, or is an LCADC. Incumbents with a Master’s degree in counseling or social work not possessing any of the qualifications above must possess an LCADC or another health professional license that includes diagnostic and supervisory authority for work of an alcohol and drug counseling nature.

Pay: $70,002.00 – $78,000.00 per year
