Key Responsibilities:
Act as a resource for nurses and support those involved in further education, presentations and in-services

Foster recognition of an adult learning environment

Maintain open and effective communication with Nurse Unit Manager, department staff, medical practitioners and other health professionals

Ensure that nursing practice complies with the NT Health and Royal Darwin Hospital’s policies and procedures and best practice guidelines

Comply with relevant Workplace Health & Safety regulations

Provide clinical education to all levels of nursing staff

Essential Requirements:
Certification / Diploma in Critical Care postgraduate qualifications

Experience in critical care education minimum 12 – 24 months

ALS 1

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Desirable Requirements:
Intensive Care nursing education

Paediatric critical care skills

Tertiary ICU experience/ Neurosurgical experience

Certificate in Adult Education

ALS 2
