$2,500 sign-on bonus after the successful completion of 90 days.

This would be an in office schedule of Monday through Friday 8 : 30 to 5 : 00

SENKO is looking for a driven and team-oriented individual to join our company in the growing fiber optic market. The applicant should have a passion for technology and problem solving.

The main purpose of the Engineering Technician role is to support the Engineering Department with inspecting, qualifying, testing, and validating fiber optic products to be used in various telecommunication market segments.

The applicant will work closely with Engineers to understand the product requirements and how to proceed in order to make sure the highest quality standards are achieved when a product is deployed.

The Engineering Technician will be exposed to various challenges and will work in an environment where teamwork is essential.

The applicant will be expected to communicate findings internally in written format or via presentation. SENKO is positioned to support and train anyone interested in this position for people new to fiber optics or wanting to continue following their telecommunication passion.

This position s to the Lead Mechanical Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Work closely with engineers to assist in inspecting, qualifying, testing and validation
• Working with Engineering on test plans and have understanding of the project requirements
• Work closely with our Internal and External Lab Resources to help with product development and improvement
• Help enhance, modify and design testing fixtures and setups to help qualify products
• Perform incoming and / or inventory inspection as needed
• Ensure the highest quality of products and test the system end-to-end
• Work with customers on quality assurance and support their needs
• Support the sales team with customer inquiries
• May require travel with Sales to customer site
• and reproduce defects and collaborate on potential solutions

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Science or Engineering major preferred)
• 3D CAD knowledge is preferred (Solidworks preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Computer experience including all Microsoft Office software programs

Compensation details : 19-22 Hourly Wage
