Salary: $85,000–$95,000 CAD, commensurate with experience + comprehensive benefits + 4-day workweek

THE OPPORTUNITY
BOOM InterTribal is looking for a Senior Social & Content Strategist to lead the development and evolution of organic social and content strategies across a diverse portfolio of clients.
This role is ideal for someone who understands how to build meaningful, platform-native storytelling that balances creative excellence with cultural integrity. You are equally strategic and hands-on — able to shape big-picture social direction while also developing content plans, writing copy, collaborating with creatives, and optimizing performance.
You’ll work closely with our Creative, Strategy, Account, and Media teams to ensure content and media strategies work seamlessly together across campaigns and channels.
This is a senior individual contributor role with leadership across content strategy, storytelling, social planning, and execution.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead Social and Content Strategy
- Develop organic social strategies across key platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging channels
- Define content pillars, audience approaches, and platform roles
- Shape distinctive brand voices and storytelling approaches aligned with campaign and business objectives
- Translate strategic direction into actionable content calendars and publishing plans
Drive Content Development and Execution
- Lead end-to-end content development from concept through delivery
- Write and oversee engaging, social-first copy and storytelling
- Collaborate with Creative teams on static, motion, and short-form video content
- Ensure content is culturally grounded, accessible, audience-aware, and platform-native
- Make light edits and content adjustments using tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
Support Community and Cultural Stewardship
- Help ensure all content reflects cultural integrity, accountability, and respect
- Guide how brands engage within social spaces and communities thoughtfully
- Support community management strategy and engagement best practices
- Identify opportunities to strengthen meaningful brand-community relationships
Align Organic and Paid Strategy
- Partner with the Digital Media Manager to align content and media strategies
- Develop content with performance in mind, including hooks, structure, and amplification potential
- Contribute strategic input to integrated campaign planning
Collaborate Across the Agency
- Work closely with Strategy, Creative, Account, and Media teams
- Contribute to integrated campaign thinking and storytelling
- Bring a culturally informed perspective to content and communication decisions
Measure and Optimize Performance
- Analyze organic social performance and identify optimization opportunities
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Contribute to campaign reporting and client presentations
What You Bring
- 5–7 years of experience in social media, content strategy, or digital strategy (agency experience preferred)
- Strong experience leading organic social strategy and multi-platform content execution
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Deep understanding of platform best practices and evolving social trends
- Experience creating content calendars and translating strategy into execution
- Ability to collaborate confidently across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Understanding of paid media and content performance dynamics
- Experience working with Indigenous, purpose-led, or community-driven organizations is considered a strong asset
