Senior IT Infrastructure & Security Specialist Full Time

About the role

We are seeking senior-level IT Infrastructure Support Specialists to join a specialized team delivering critical systems administration support for private military networks. You will work within the Intelligence Network Services ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of classified communication information systems.

What You’ll Do

As a senior resource, you will provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support across a range of enterprise infrastructure and platform services, including:

• Administer and support virtualized and hyperconverged infrastructure platforms (Nutanix, VMware), including compute, storage, and virtualization services
• Perform lifecycle management: installation, configuration, monitoring, patching, backup, recovery, and decommissioning
• Support enterprise directory, identity, access, and endpoint security services (Active Directory, Trellix ePO)
• Monitor system health, performance, and capacity; provide written analysis and recommendations to the Technical Authority
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and coordinate escalations and corrective actions
• Conduct technical impact assessments for proposed changes and new implementations
• Participate in technical meetings, working groups, and service transition activities
• Develop and maintain technical documentation: SOPs, configuration records, diagrams, and reports
• Liaise with departmental technical groups, integration teams, and stakeholders

Environment & Networks

You will support infrastructure across multiple classified networks and enclaves, including:

• Classified Networks: Spartan, Stone Ghost, EIRES.CTSN, Polaris
• Small Networks & Information Exchange Gateways (IEGs): SIPRNet Rel, ADM(Pol), Pegasus, BICES, LCSS, SIGNET-C, CFNOC IDS, JSIS

Mandatory Requirements

All candidates must clearly demonstrate the following:

• Minimum 5 years of experience within the last 10 years providing technical support or administration of enterprise IT systems within classified environments
• Minimum 3 years of experience within the last 5 years providing 2nd and/or 3rd level technical support for enterprise or operational IT services
• Demonstrated experience supporting or administering enterprise IT infrastructure or application services — such as virtualized platforms, directory or identity services, or enterprise security services

Preferred Skills & Technologies

• Nutanix AHV / VMware vSphere / ESXi hypervisor administration
• Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
• Trellix (McAfee) ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) endpoint security
• Windows Server administration in air-gapped or classified environments
• ITIL-aligned change and configuration management processes
• Experience with 1st to 3rd line support in national and international deployments
