An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Ecologist to join a respected multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering sustainable and commercially focused solutions across the UK. Based near Cambridge, the company works on a wide variety of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects, offering ecology, biodiversity net gain, arboriculture and landscape services.
The successful Senior Ecologist will lead and manage ecological projects from inception through to completion, undertaking habitat surveys, protected species work, Ecological Impact Assessments, report writing and biodiversity net gain assessments. This Senior Ecologist role will also involve mentoring junior team members, supporting project delivery and liaising with clients and stakeholders across a diverse project portfolio.

Requirements:
* Significant experience within a UK ecological consultancy
* Degree in Ecology or a related discipline
* Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
* Experience managing ecological surveys and reporting
* Protected species licences desirable
* Excellent communication and project management skills
* Full UK driving licence required
* Full right to work in the UK
* Must live within a commutable distance of the Cambridge office
