Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for in the creation, organization, implementation and evaluation of educational programs offered by the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum to the general public, teacher/educator, student, Tribal Member and community audiences. The incumbent supervises the work of Tour Guides, school interns and volunteers and collaborates with all Departmental Staff as necessary to provide educational activities and materials to promote exhibits, collections, and other information that represents an accurate portrayal of Seminole history and culture.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in history, museum studies, education or related field required. Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum three (3) years of experience working in a museum setting is preferred. Experience developing curriculum is a plus. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license. Knowledge of CRM system software is preferred. Working knowledge of Seminole Culture and History is preferred. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
