The Director, Global eCommerce is responsible for driving global sales and growth across brand sites (in partnership with Makari de Suisse eCommerce team), retailer sites and 3PPs for the SELPH Beauty brand. The Director will need to develop effective relationships with regional online business teams, share best practices and help regions activate locally-relevant commercial programming, and lead online business reviews with the markets. The Director of Global eCommerce needs to have an in-depth understanding of how to drive e/m- commerce sales through effective and cost-efficient marketing programs. An analytical and strategic thinker is required to balance new customer acquisition programs with retention initiatives as well as identifying and embarking on business development opportunities.

This person will be responsible for overseeing the rollout to new markets, leading the global activation strategy, and monitoring and optimizing program performance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Drive profitable ecommerce business across brand sites, retailer.com and 3PP in all regions, with a special focus on top markets
• Develop effective relationships with regional and affiliate teams to execute global brand and online strategies and all e/m commerce activities
• Conduct ongoing workshops to share e/m commerce best practices with online regionals and key markets to drive A&P effectiveness
• Lead monthly business reviews with each region. Identify needs and areas of opportunity, and guide the regionals in best practices to further drive their businesses
• develop and maintain global analytics dashboards
• Oversee and provide center of excellence support for global rollouts including education on loyalty tactics, launch activities and ongoing optimizations to drive acquisition and retention
• Support regions and markets’ needs including providing hands on training on tools needed to run businesses; driving global online exclusives; ensuring that relevant assets are produced, distributed and used; and ensuring that global offers are reviewed by all markets and that inventory allocation is secured
• Maintain a detailed understanding of the Brand’s Global Launch Calendars, including market-specific launches, promotions and programs and oversee online assets to support global programs
• Manage brand’s SEO strategy and share best practices with regions for local implementation
• Proven track record of 8+ years of online marketing experience.
• Ability to translate Brand vision to the online channel and execute strategies that lead the company consistently towards that vision.
• Strong skills in strategy and planning, budget and P/L understanding merchandising, and marketing.
• Proven leadership and team management skills derived from having direct responsibility for building and managing a cohesive, high-performing team.
• Needs to be a creative and analytical thinker and problem solver, thrive in fast paced environment, prioritize and oversee multiple projects at once, have attention to detail and work well with cross functional teams.
• Basic Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com and all third party platforms seller central knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex ideas and processes in a simplified manner.
• BA/BS required, MBA preferred.
