Sellick partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of an Engineer/Senior Engineer for a large social housing organisation based in Sunderland.

The Engineer will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating a highly effective engineering service to enable the successful delivery of the organisations business plan.

Responsibilities of the Engineer:

• Civil and structural engineering design including services, including engagement and monitoring of external consultants where necessary
• Develop and maintain design and development briefing documentation for all external engineering appointments
• Site involvement to ensure all schemes optimise the correct foundation hierarchy solution
• Involved in due diligence and abnormal information for new land bids
• Review and value engineering of all civil engineering designs including drainage, road construction and earth works
• Secure section agreements to suit development programme and assist in managing the legal and adoption process
• Review diversions / disconnections and new services orders pre contract ensuring the most cost-effective stats design solutions are achieved
• Management of the engineering due diligence prior to bid and contract (earth works, retaining, off site sewers, diversions etc)

Requirements of the Engineer:

• Technical knowledge of buildability issues relating to housebuilders
• Computer literate with proven CAD and specialist Engineering software skills
• Sound knowledge of NHBC Standards
• Chartered Engineer or working towards
