As an experienced Senior Manager in our Manufacturing Department, the incumbent will oversee and direct the development, planning, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new or existing products and technologies. Developing and recommending manufacturing policies, procedures and programs, as well as selecting, developing and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function will be part of your day-to-day tasks. You will work closely with quality groups to ensure strict compliance with good manufacturing practices guidelines at all times and prepare documentation, reports and standard operating procedures as required. You will ensure the effective use of materials, equipment and employees in producing quality products. Senior Management is responsible for monitoring and controlling labour, capital expenditures and developing budgets. Additionally, you may act as the primary contact for the business unit and manage one or more manufacturing functions.
To succeed in this role, you will have post-secondary education in a related field of study and relevant experience in a lean manufacturing environment. Knowledge of PDCA, DMAIC, PI Data Management and Statistical Tools would be considered an asset. You must exhibit strong leadership and team building skills with the ability to interact with different functional areas and levels within the organization. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and will be proficient on Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Your proven project management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively, coupled with your excellent organization, problem-solving and planning skills will be valuable in this role. You must be flexible to work on a variety of shifts based on the demands of the operation. Six Sigma Green Belt would be an asset.
