Seiko UK Limited Hiring for Assistant Financial Accountant Job at Maidenhead, England Full Time

This is an office-based role in Maidenhead, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm with one hour for lunch.

This role will provide the successful candidate with a key position within the small finance function of Seiko UK Limited, with exposure to all parts of the business. We aim to provide a healthy working environment for personal and professional growth. There are no direct reports.

We are looking for a motivated team player, with good communication skills and a flexible and positive attitude to workload. Part-qualified with a desire to continue their studies. Strong excel skills. SAP B1 experience preferable but not essential.

Full responsibility for the Intercompany Ledger, including recharges and reconciliations

Accuracy of stock accounting and valuation, including support for regular stock takes and calculation of provisions

Integral role in the month-end process including:

Fixed asset register and depreciation

Accruals, prepayments and provisions

IFRS 16 accounting

Balance sheet reconciliations

Tenant accounting and recharges

VAT returns including VAT and Duty Deferment

Providing finance support across the business including Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and Repair Workshop

Working closely with and supporting the Finance Manager

Ad hoc duties – potentially 20-30% of the time – possible opportunity to increase exposure to Financial Reporting processes or step into Commercial Finance.
