Site Engineer 

Location – Aylesbury

Salary – £35,000 – £50,000 The salary will also come with lodge and living away £12,500 lodge allowance if required, company vehicle, Pension etc

My client is a leading Earthmoving Contractor they will be looking to recruit over the next 2 -3 months a number of skilled resourceful site engineers and senior engineers to deal with the demand posed on them by HS2.

The site engineer will establish the level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed work as per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made on a regular basis. They will set out and be there on the ground using both GPS and traditional techniques to set out the roads, gullies, drainage, embankments gabion baskets etc. The more senior engineers will then do the as-built surveys.

Person Specification:

The successful candidate is likely to meet all the following criteria:

Essential

• Previous experience of setting out on civil engineering projects
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
• Fully conversant with the use of robotic total station or EDM instruments
• Degree qualified/HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook
   

Desirable

• Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office Temporary-works co-ordination
• CSCS card
• First aid training
• SMSTS
• NEBOSH or IOSH
