Captivate Specialist

The Adobe Captivate Expert will primarily be responsible for creating eLearning content, automating current eLearning to elevate current offering, as well as training other instructional designers on the use of Adobe Captivate. The Captivate Expert will work with the Directors of Business, HR, Finance, and Fulfillment as well as the VP of Education to develop and help maintain the current eLearning, classroom training, Just in Time Show Mes, Job Aids, and any other training medium as directed. The Captivate Expert is expected to be self-motivated, dependable, and self-sufficient.

Responsibilities

• Create learning tutorials from designer scripts.
• Create in-class activities that enhance the learning process, such as Putting It All Together (PIAT) exercises
• Extract relevant slides/information from eLearning to development Show Me (Just in Time) files
• Extract relevant icons/buttons with verbiage from eLearning to develop Job Aids
• Extract relevant material from eLearning to develop demonstrations for future potential clientele
• Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the training
• Create and maintain client eLearning templates
• Prepare eLearning for final publication to an LMS or Intranet site
• Setup and run meetings with clients or internal team resources using WebEx or Microsoft Teams application software
• Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify the target audience’s training needs
• Perform other jobs in the related area as requested

Responsibilities may also include:

• Developing role-based training content, independently or with team members, using a variety of software programs, tools, and applications (such as Adobe Captivate, SnagIt, or Microsoft Word)
• Designing, developing and maintaining instructional materials
• Maintaining policy and procedure documentation
• Incorporating feedback from others into existing training and training administration procedures
• Managing projects by prioritizing projects and by creating and adhering to timelines

Key competencies

• Must have Adobe Captivate Experience
• Must have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Must have excellent technical writing skills with the ability to explain complex information to Physicians, RNs, and healthcare support staff
• Previous work experience in instructional design within any of the healthcare electronic healthcare record (EHR) applications is a plus
• Ability to develop classroom curriculum, job-aids, and eLearning content using the ADDIE methodology
• Must have expert practical Adobe Captivate experience creating eLearning content, troubleshooting, and able to suggest automating current eLearning content.
• Use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to write effective instructional text for curriculum, audio scripts for eLearning voice-overs, and eLearning content
• BA degree in instructional design, educational technology, or similar relevant field
• Self-motivated and able to self-manage required in this remote (work from home) position
• Minimal travel required and ability to work across time zones

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
