Software Engineer – Product Specialist (SecurityPal, Inc.) (San Francisco, CA): Perform internal surveys and user interviews of members in the delivery team to understand our app’s usage patterns; Organize bug bashes for new features and help coordinate broader QA testing for our products; Engage with members of the CS, AM, and delivery teams to identify and aggregate issues from across the company; Communicate out new product updates to CS, sales, and the delivery teams where necessary; Assist in coordination rollouts for new features and organize beta testers from within the delivery organization; First point of contact for customer support issues involving the app; Plans and designs methods to improve production processes; Reviews existing processes and develops solutions to increase productivity or reduce costs; Ensures compliance with approved production methods and quality standards; and contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Experience with Python, React and deploying code on GCP; Experience working with diverse stakeholders; Experience building large-scale applications or similar experience in a corporate or start-up environment; Experience identifying and driving changes to applications as needed; Experience working with backend tech stacks; Ability to analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources; Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture (HTTP); and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and Postgres. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field, and eighteen (18) months of experience as a Software Developer, Web Programmer or related occupation.
