As a Security Officer Patrol Route Agent in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter location, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and activity within the location, verify authorized entry when required, and/or communicate with site contacts regarding security-related concerns or policy questions.
• Support a respectful environment by interacting professionally with individuals on site, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and/or following post orders related to daily operations and incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
