Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon02:00 PM – 10:00 PMThur11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or key access points, verifying credentials when required and supporting authorized access in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Support emergency and routine operations by communicating with site personnel, first responders, and/or supervisors, while following post orders and maintaining readiness for assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card/license is required.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
