As a Security Officer Access Verification in Hayward, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control activities, verify credentials, and support badge processing for employees and visitors. In this people-first role, you will remain visible, perform routine patrols, and deliver strong customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and site personnel by carrying out access control procedures, checking credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and following site-specific security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, delivery issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Monitor gates, entrances, and shipping and receiving areas to help control access to the location, document visitor and vehicle activity, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized attempts to enter.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, including dock areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and warehouse access points, while observing and reporting security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
