Seasalt Cornwall Hiring for Financial Accounts Assistant Job at Redruth, England Full Time

We have an opportunity for someone AAT Level 2 qualified, or with relevant experience in financial accounting, to join our Financial Accounting team and build a finance career within a fast-growing retail business.

Please note this role is primarily based in our Redruth head office, with occasional remote working.

You’ll help us by:

• Reconciling bank and control accounts
• Statutory accounting entries and preparation of audit working papers
• Calculate & post journal entries
• Update audit working papers as requested
• Preparing information on VAT, duty, ONS and other statutory returns
• Planning, managing and improving Seasalt’s financial accounting systems and control processes
• Co-ordinate and support Finance system testing and development
• Support Seasalt’s internal and external project teams
• Suggesting improvements to processes for efficiencies
• Ensuring all tasks are effectively carried out and completed on time
• Undertaking training as required

The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:

You’ll be AAT part-qualified or have relevant experience with account reconciliation and financial accounting systems. A naturally numerate and analytical person, you’ll have excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving and following processes.

A confident communicator across all mediums, you’ll work well within a team while also being able organise and prioritise your own workloads. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is a given, while experience working with Microsoft AX would be beneficial.
