LBS1 Special Education Teacher (Type 10 or Type 9 with LBS1 endorsement)

Program Overview

Private Therapeutic Day School ages K-22

Self-contained classrooms

Expressive Therapy (ET) approach, offering students Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Recreation Therapy as well as incentive clubs.

Special Education Teacher Job Description

Program addresses the functional needs of students with disabilities, providing academic instruction according to IEP. Assist with social-emotional as well as behavioral support.

Serving students with; intellectual or developmental disability, autism, emotional/behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, and other health impairments.

Participate in IEP team meetings, providing overview of student progress.

Monday – Friday 8:00AM-3:30PM

Academic calendar plus 3-day/week summer school session

Locations in Lombard, Romeoville and Woodstock. This post is for the Woodstock location.
