About the team

The Human Resources team is committed to attracting, developing, supporting, empowering and retaining a committed and skilled diverse workforce to achieve SDN’s strategic outcomes. The team also fosters a healthy and safe work environment to enhance the wellbeing of our employees and ensures efficient and accurate payroll processing.

You will be joining our HR team of 10. We are a close knit, diverse and down to earth team. We are passionate about what we do and we work really well together. We are led by a highly experienced Head of HR who is consultative, supportive and hands on.

About the role

You will work with the Recruitment Specialist to ensure managers are provided with timely assistance, support and administration in relation to all recruitment activities.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Placing job advertisements on various job boards
• Screening of applications – including telephone screen
• Conducting interviews for casuals and reference checks
• Ensuring all new starter paperwork is received
• Recruitment administration
• Providing support to the recruitment team

This position will be based at our Shared Services office in Ultimo however we are currently working a hybrid arrangement from home and office and flexible working arrangements are available.

This is a full time maximum term contract for 12 months.

About you

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Advanced administrative skills, high attention to detail and proficiency with MS Office
• Ability to work methodically and consistently in a fast paced, high volume environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Previous experience in a similar role
• A Working with Children’s Check clearance number
