SDN Children’s Services is a not-for-profit organisation that has been delivering quality early childhood education and child care, children’s therapies and family support services since 1905.

We are one of Australia’s most respected children’s services organisations, and have over 700 staff across 37 sites in Sydney, regional NSW and the ACT.

About the Centre

SDN Woolloomooloo is a purpose-built, 89 place centre which provides space for children ranging from birth to preschool age. There are multiple outdoor areas, each with a specific purpose.

The main outdoor space is very large and is partially undercover, which allows the children to enjoy the outdoors whatever the weather. The environment is filled with exciting resources including a climbing wall, water features, large sandpit, slides and a magical fairy garden.

SDN Woolloomooloo is conveniently located 5 minutes from the nearest train station and there are also bus stops just outside the service which go to a variety of locations.

About the Team

You will be working with a group of diverse and long-serving educators and service staff who have a strong passion for ensuring best practice. Each educator is supported to contribute their skills and talents to the educational program and to specialist classes. SDN Woolloomooloo runs a variety of specialist classes which are run by both educators and external providers.

About the Role

This role is a full-time Certificate III position. You will build relationships with children and families through effective communication and assist in the everyday routine.

You will receive an above award salary with annual leave loading plus benefits, as well as monthly RDOs and paid meal breaks. In addition to this, you will receive two hours each week of non-contact programming time.

About You

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Current Working with Children’s Check (NSW)
• Knowledge of the National Quality Standards
• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
• Experience in a similar role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate
• Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (preferable)
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Understanding of Child Protection legislation and holds an approved and current
• Child Protection Training qualification
