Scrap Metal Services Hiring for Operations Finance Business Partner Full Time

A leading global industrial services and metals recycling company in the Chicago area is seeking an exceptionally strong Operations Finance Business Partner to join their team. This full-time, hybrid opportunity is best suited for someone passionate about being an integral part of a driven finance & operations team and is self-motivated to make things happen efficiently and accurately.

ing directly to the SVP of Finance, this role will serve as the primary financial support for the operations of a $150M organization.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage various income and cost streams (purchase orders, inventory and fixed assets) across global company production sites
• Drive adhesion to company policy and procedures in operations; ensure appropriate financial control processes are in place across the sites
• Analyze cost information for use in controlling expenditures; communicate potential cost issues with operations management
• Own the annual financial budgeted process
• Work closely with site management / operations leaders to develop weekly forecasts, lead weekly forecast calls and communicate variance analysis
• Develop standardized monthly financial ing for monthly Operations Reviews
• Build out new processes and procedures to improve efficiencies across the organization
• Develop and implement KPIs and dashboards for operations support
• Identify financial improvement opportunities and collaborate with operations on remediation plans
• Track financial impact of new initiatives
• Implement new product/service and capital expenditure ROI analyses/processes; review actual performance vs ROI
• Support ERP conversion process
• Support the annual audit process
• Design, build, and maintain internal ing to drive business awareness

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Engineering degree with relevant experience will also be considered
• CPA, MBA not required but would be a plus
• 5-7 years’ experience of FP&A leadership in industrial services, manufacturing (heavy industrial), mining, construction, or metals & minerals industry
• Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site operations
• Strong Excel skills required
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of the organization, including analysts, operational managers, and the executive team
• Demonstrated ERP implementation experience and proven IT management knowledge
• Demonstrated experience in automating processes and eliminating waste in procedures
• Knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow
• Ability to travel 25% to company locations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $101,000.00 per year
