This role is a key enabler of change and leads various Talent Development work streams, projects, and programmes across SPS which seek to identify, develop, engage, and retain individuals who are key to the success of the organisation. These work streams may include: Apprenticeship schemes, Leadership Development, and Potential Programmes (e.g. Trainee Manager). The role will include line management responsibility, design and delivery of work streams and initiatives as well as collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Hybrid working may be available for this role. Hybrid working offers greater flexibility, allowing you to split your time between office working, based at SPSC, and working at home, subject to business and operational requirements being met. Line Management
Provide leadership to Talent team members; manage workload, monitor and support the progress of work streams, support their personal and professional development.
Programme Management
Lead on the research, planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of talent programmes / activities / work streams, ensuring effective processes, infrastructure and governance arrangements are maintained to deliver high impact outcomes aligned to corporate objectives and priorities.
Programme Design and Delivery
Lead on the design, development and facilitation of a service that provides high quality, flexible, innovative and accessible talent development activities to meet the organisation’s current and future needs and support the development of a learning culture for the organisation. This will include programmes for talent within the organisation as well as programmes to bring new and diverse talent into SPS.
Stakeholder Relations and Advisory Support
Develop collaborative relationships and networks internally and externally; engage individuals and stakeholder groups in talent management programmes; management of contracts and providers (where applicable); provision of professional advice and guidance, aligned to best practice, organisational needs, corporate strategies and plans.
Diversity & Inclusion
Proactively support, encourage and champion diversity and inclusion in talent development, and work directly with individuals engaged in talent development programmes to provide support and maximise retention.
Professional Expertise
Develop and maintain specialist knowledge and professional expertise through proactive personal and professional development; provide talent insights and drive continuous improvement in SPS Talent Management and Development activity, including collating and analysing data and trends to inform future decisions and actions.

Membership of the CIPD (associate level or above) or be currently working/willing to work towards or hold an appropriate comparable qualification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent and relevant experience.
