Scottish Group Hiring for Accounting Manager Job at Centennial, CO Full Time

Scottish Group is a Denver based business seeking a full time accounting manager, The successful candidate will provide services for Scottish Stained Glass, Scottish Window Tinting and Scottish Home Improvements, with operations in multiple states. Scottish strives to provide quality products and excellent customer service to all clients while maintaining a friendly, supportive and efficient work environment for all staff. In order to achieve this, we aim to hire motivated individuals who share the same values and will complement our teams. The ideal candixperience in construction accounting and billing procedures. The company is in the beginning stages of transitioning from Quickbooks to Zoho or a similar platform.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, directing and controlling all accounting operations and functions
• Full responsibility for Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Bank, credit card and inter-company reconciliations
• Cash Management
• Monthly and quarterly filings
• General accounting activities and reporting, to include WIP, A/R Aging, P/l Statements
• W-9’s, 1099’s, vendor oversight
• Evaluating internal accounting and control systems
• Working knowledge of job costing, change orders, budgets, P.O.’s and sub contacts
• Collections
• AIA Billings

You will need:

• Proficiency with Quickbooks (Desktop Enterprise Contractor)
• Proficiency in MS Word & Excel as well as Google Doc & Sheets
• Skills for supervising other accounting staff
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities
• Willingness to learn/tackle any aspect of accounting when needed
• Be a motivated and enthusiastic team player
• Respect for confidential/sensitive information
• Ability to pass pre employment background checks and drug testing

Desirable to have:

• Construction, Manufacturing and/or project accounting experience, (contracts, insurance requirements, lien waivers, progress billing)
• Experience with Vendor Payment Management portals (e.g. Procore, GCPay, Textura)
• ZOHO CRM and ZOHO Books familiarity or willingness to learn new system
• Comfort with implementing paperless systems and new processes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
