Job Responsibilities

• Leads fieldwork on assigned audit projects.
• Learn how to work as part of the team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the Company/Internal Audit Department.
• Test internal controls and evaluating the effectiveness of those controls.
• Test account balances and their corresponding accounting methodologies.
• Complete clear and concise work papers related to testing performed in accordance with applicable standards.
• Keep the team informed of results of testing.
• Develop effective working relationships with the Company’s Divisions and team.
• Assist with research projects.
• Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
• Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about audit and accounting.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and analytical techniques. As progression and development occurs, proficiency and familiarization is expected.
• Remain current on professional standards, corporate policies, management requirements and business operations.
• Perform physical inventory observations

• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to prioritize duties.
• Proficiency with standard office equipment, computer, and computer programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.

_ Working Conditions_

• This position operates in a professional office environment at Scott Fetzer’s offices in Westlake, Ohio.
• This is typically a full-time position, which is defined as being scheduled to work up to 40 hours or more per week.
• There is minimal travel (4-6 weeks per year) required for the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA, CIA, or MBA preferred.
