We’re currently looking for a Software Delivery lead to join our team. As the Lead, you will coordinate development and delivery activities to ensure deliverables are of the highest quality while adhering to defined release, change, project, and architectural standards and methodologies by leveraging your agile scrum team (Product, Engineering, Agile, Design).
The primary accountability is the execution of shipping software based on the product roadmaps and technical release plans developed by the Leadership team. This also includes the identification, escalation, and removal of release and team impediments.
More of what you’ll do includes:
Execute day-to-day project and task-focused work efforts and meet project expectations
Assembling and implementing project plans, including release plans
Provide regular, standardized reporting for team performance, velocity, stories, completed, and project status
Build and maintain solid, professional working relationships with peers within the project management and business lines
Meet scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner
Work with your team to identify roadmap/feature dependencies and impediments, and be accountable for tracking dependencies and impediments and removing them to enable your team’s success, as well as provide feedback on individual performance and team awareness
Communicate with other scrum teams to ensure tactical story alignment and identify/track dependencies between teams
Be accountable for awareness and communication to stakeholders regarding your budget
Ensure your team has access to necessary software, hardware, testing devices, etc. and make recommendations for continuous improvement
Engage stakeholders (risk, legal, audit) as needed for consultation and counsel throughout the course projects
Ensure the completion of required forms and processes for Bank-wide release management, including the OR/NIRA process, make resourcing recommendations, and maintain vacation schedules
Understand Scotiabank’s risk appetite and risk culture and consider it during day-to-day activities and decisions

REQUIREMENTS
Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
Strong oral/written communication skills
In-depth knowledge of principles, theories, practices, and techniques managing activities related to planning, managing, and implementing software solutions
Certified Scrum Master, PMP is an asset
5 years of related professional work experience
Software delivery experience and previous Scotiabank experience considered an asset
Excellent negotiation and client relationship skills
Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple
