As a standalone HR Advisor for our Wolverhampton and Telford sites you will be responsible for providing your business areas with HR support covering all aspects, such as providing advice and guidance on best practice, company policies, terms and conditions of employment and legislation.
Role Key Accountabilities
· Proactively partner with managers across all levels, driving improvements in line with the agreed people agenda, including engagement and people processes.
· Work closely with key stakeholders to embed the culture & values that are key to the business whilst supporting local levels of management and employees to ensure the best performance in a motivating environment.
· Support the end to end on boarding practice including preparing and placing advertisements and job descriptions.
· To provide accurate and timely advice on people matters, such as performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance issues.
· Support managers with any disciplinary or grievance cases which may arise, this may include coaching, providing advice whilst considering best practice.
· Maintain a strong working knowledge of current employment law and case practices.
· Liaise with Occupational Health to ensure health surveillance is up to date and any employee(s) are referred for a medical if needed.
· Ensuring people processes such as recruitment, absence management and performance management are adhered to.
· Drive and support the reporting and analysis of key HR metrics, identifying patterns and trends.
· Identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous development in the HR service.
· Form an integral part of the onsite COVID-19 team.
· Actively drive onsite engagement, delivering key engagement events throughout the year aligned with the people strategy.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience;

· CIPD qualified is desirable with a strong generalist background.
· Previous experience of a manufacturing site is desirable.
· Experience of providing advice, guidance and support to a diverse group of managers.
· Strong ER Experience is essential, preferably within a unionised environment.
· Strong employment legislation understanding and application together with experience in interpreting legislation and writing, updating and implementing new HR policy.
· Skilled in business partnering.
· Must be able to perform a variety of duties being resourceful and maintaining flexibility.
· Be able to demonstrate management of key HR services (i.e. Occupation Health, Recruitment Agency etc.)
