The opportunity
Scoot is inviting applications to join us as an internal recruitment consultant. This is a newly created position; a result of our ongoing growth and increasing headcount. We are only as good as our people, and we want to continue adding A-players to our team; top-tier talent that is aligned to our mission, values & culture.
Reporting to the VP of Operations, and part of the People & Growth (P&G) team, the internal recruitment consultant will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment of all internal roles, inclusive of location, department and level. Success will be measured by both the timely appointment of positions, but also the retention rates of these appointments, to ensure both quantity and quality of the people we add to our team.

Scoot is an education staffing company, first established in Los Angeles, CA, in 2019. We have since grown to operate across five regions of California, whilst expanding to Texas, Arizona, Nevada & Colorado in the 2021/22 school year. We are a mission and values led organization, with our why and purpose being to help create exceptional experiences in education. ‘Right teacher, right classroom, right time’ is the goal that gets us up and out of bed every morning – often for a 6am start!
The responsibilities
Collaborate with HR to define job descriptions, and ideal candidate profiles.
Build a repeatable, uniform and scalable process for end-to-end hiring, priotizing Scoot’s quality assurance and the candidate’s experience with us. This will include, but not be limited to:
Talent pool year-round, to ensure we have a pool of passive and active candidates for our open roles.
Advertise, source and hire through a DEI lense, in line with our company values.
Proactively source candidates through a range of strategies, including but not limited to:
Collaborate with HR around onboarding experience of appointments, and implement initiatives to seek feedback on the applicant experience to further improve our processes.
