The Opportunity:

The successful candidate will become an integral member of our Engineering Team, with primary responsibility for design and drawing production, topographic surveys, construction layout, construction supervision and contract administration for a diverse range of Land Development and Municipal Infrastructure Projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed design drawings for a range of Civil Engineering projects
• Proficient use and management of AutoCAD Civil 3D software
• Topographic surveys, design calculations and exceptional drawing production
• Construction Layout and grade control using Robotic TS, GPS and Laser Level
• Construction Supervision and Contract Administration
• Adherence to municipal and provincial engineering standards, specifications and design guidelines
• Tender documentation, specifications and construction inspection
• Record surveys and preparation of record (as-constructed) drawings
• Interaction with Engineering, Construction and Operations Teams
• Business Development and Project Management support

Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will be a graduate of a Civil Engineering Technology program with 2 to 7 years of municipal engineering, land development and water-wastewater infrastructure experience in the Ontario Consulting Engineering sector, possessing or eligible for a C.E.T. designation.

• Experienced and proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D (essential)
• Proficiency with SolidWorks is considerd an asset but not a requirement
• Exceptional design-draft, drawing production and composition skills (essential)
• Proficient with GPS Equipment in Topographic Survey and Construction Layout
• Proficient with Laser Level Equipment for Grade Control (essential)
• Construction Supervision Experience (essential)
• Knowledge of municipal-provincial standards, specifications and design guidelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a project team environment
• Self-motivated and versatile in relation to diverse work assignments
• Initiative to acquire new skills and assume additional responsibilities
• Proficient with MS Office suite including Word and Excel
• Strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks
