Sciarabba Walker & Co., LLP is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking candidate for our open Outsourced Accounting Associate position. Outsourced accounting is a flexible, cost-effective way to address the ever-changing operational needs of many organizations. Our team is comprised of highly-skilled professionals with the experience needed to provide the most effective and efficient accounting support to our clients.

The candidate will be responsible for providing bookkeeping services to our fraternity and sorority clients which include but are not limited to payroll, A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations and a wide range of reports.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage relationships for assigned clients – nature and level of bookkeeping services required weekly, monthly and annually will be dictated by each client engagement.
• Monitor and advise chapter of their financial status on a monthly basis.
• Assist chapters with the creation of their annual budgets.
• Interface with parents and national organizations to resolve and clarify billings when requested.
• Ensuring timely and accurate client communication and deliverables
• Reviewing and recording monthly transactions, performing reconciliations, preparing monthly closing entries
• Assisting with payroll processing

• Maintain positive client relationships and work with the department to support new client development

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years experience in accounting
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks desktop and online versions

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently
• Demonstrated history of reliability and ability to maintain client confidentiality
