School of Rock West Seattle Hiring for Music Teacher – Guitar/Keyboards/Vocals Full Time

We are currently looking for guitar, keyboard and vocal teachers!

THE GIG
Our team instructs students from AC/DC to Zappa while creating a safe and cool environment for students. The School of Rock’s hours are generally 3-9 pm weekdays and 11-6 on weekends. Our staff often tour, gig or work other part time jobs that fit well with our schedule and we are very flexible. The school handles all administration, enrollment, marketing, event production and billing so our teachers love that they can just show up and focus on teaching and running our programming. We have a great facility with the best gear and it is a really fun and rewarding place to work! We also have award winning, patented curriculum that helps you as you guide your students on their journey.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Create an inspirational environment for learning music
-Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and rehearsals
-Ensure that students are learning the fundamentals of music

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
-Experience performing professionally and/or teaching music preferred.
-Knowledge of music theory
-Able to engage a crowd of kids
-Excellent ability to deal well with children and a wide range of customers
-Shows up prepared and is prompt, reliable, and responsible
-Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor. This is the most important requirement as we can train and allow our staff to grow with us!
