Schneider Electric has an exciting opportunity for an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join the Software Product and Cloud Team in Coventry, United Kingdom.

Your Mission:

Candidate is expected to be highly motivated and able to work within the Product development team to meet tight deadlines. It is essential that the successful candidate approaches work with rigour and attention to detail to ensure that our software is delivered to our customers to the highest standard.

Your responsibilities:

• Involvement in planning to ensure adequate time is allowed for requirement gathering, development and testing.
• Understanding customer requirements and ensuring that those requirements have been met by our implementation.
• Communicating closely with project delivery teams and other product teams to ensure timescales are understood and issues quickly escalated.
• Defining and improving DevOps (Automated Testing, CI/CD pipeline) processes and tools.
• Give input to Tender and Sales team on engineer estimates and design reviews.

About you:

• Minimum of 3 years C++ software development experience.
• Minimum of 3 years project experience working on projects following a standard software development lifecycle (Agile or legacy Waterfall or V models).
• Degree in Software or Computing related subject or ability to demonstrate experience to a similar level.
• Experience of Microsoft Visual C++ (unmanaged).

• Knowledge of C++11 or later.
• Experience of Visual Studio 2015 – 2019.
• Protocol or driver development experience.
• Experience of Sockets IO (network)
• Unit Testing experience
• Excellent communication skills

• Knowledge of C# and .Net framework/.Net Core/.Net 5 is preferred
• Test automation and DevOps experience, including CI/CD tools and methodologies is a plus
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) is a plus
